Carlos Tevez The Controvertial Striker of City accepts he will have to return to Manchester City and face the indignity of playing in the reserves - unless he is sold by Tuesday.
Tevez, who has been AWOL in Argentina since early November, is desperate to force through a move away from City before next week's January 31 transfer deadline.
But in a remarkable climbdown, Tevez's advisor, Kia Joorabchian, has admitted the former City skipper will have no choice but to return to Manchester if a move cannot be agreed.
"Mancini has been very clear that he doesn't want Carlos in the first-team," said Joorabchian.
"Carlos is going to have to come back, pick up his money and play with the reserves.
"He's not that type of player who wants to walk around the club with that hanging over his head, though."
